Der RIB Stuhl ist aus wiederverwendeten PET Flaschen produziert und hat zusätzlich schallabsorbiernde Eigenschaften. Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltschutz ist ein wichtiges Thema für Johanson Design.

Designer Alexander Lervik über sein Design:

” My first thoughts about the Rib Chair came when I thought about how to create a stackable chair with strong graphic feeling. I had a clear Idea that the seat would be like waves and searched a long time for the right materials that could create that feeling. The choice of felt gives the Rib Chair a unique character. The base is embedded in the felt, which means that the seat consists of clean lines without seams. The seat material is produced from recycled PET-bottles and have the Nordic Ecolabel.”
